About Membership

Membership in the League of Women Voters, the most respected and effective grassroots organization in the country, is open to men and women of all ages. Our members make a visible difference by serving as community leaders using their experience to create positive, lasting change in our communities.

League of Women Voters membership operates on three levels. When you are a member of LWV of Moore County (LWVMC), you are automatically a member of LWV of North Carolina (LWVNC) and LWV of the United States (LWVUS). On all levels, the League is a vibrant, women-led organization with effective policy advocacy strategies.

Why should I join?

Through participation in League projects, you will:

• contribute valuable service to the community

• gain knowledge and experience through the study and discussion of timely and important topics

• discover new interests, develop new skills and learn about crucial issues in your community

• make professional contacts and develop lasting friendships as you meet others in League who share your interests

How much time does it take?

It's up to you! Some of our members choose to support the League only with their annual dues. Your membership alone can help give us the political influence needed to build a voice for citizens and a force for change. We cover a broad spectrum of issues and concerns; you may choose to become involved in one or more of them by actively participating in a group study, or listening to a speaker at
a meeting or just reading about them in one of our publications.

Annual Membership Dues - 2024

• Individual member: $65 per year

• Household member: $92.50 per year

• Student member: $0 per year.  A student is defined as any individual registered in a North Carolina academic institution (high-school, community college, college/graduate program, certificate program).

• Lifetime Membership: $0 per year.  A lifetime member has been a member for over 50 years. 

Membership is eligible for renewal 12 months from the date of joining League.

• Action alerts and policy updates from LWV of North Carolina and LWV of the United States

How to Renew

Click "Member Login" at the top right-hand corner of the Home page. Enter your member login and password. Go to your Profile and select the "Renew" link that will take you to the webpage to renew your membership.
