About Membership
Membership in the League of Women Voters, the most respected and effective grassroots organization in the country, is open to men and women ages 16 years and older.
League of Women Voters membership operates on three levels. When you are a member of LWV of Moore County (LWVMC), you are automatically a member of LWV of North Carolina (LWVNC) and LWV of the United States (LWVUS).

How much time does it take?
It's up to you! Some members join league action teams while other members choose to support the League only with their annual dues.
Annual Membership Dues - 2025

Individual member: $75 annual recommended rate or Pay What You Can (this option allows you to enter the amount that you are able to pay for your yearly membership with a minimum of $20 annually).

Lifetime Membership- $0 per year. A lifetime member has been a member for over 50 years.
Membership is eligible for renewal 12 months from the date of joining the League.

FIRST TIME JOINING

RENEWING YOUR MEMBERSHIP
If paying by Credit Card/Debit Card/US Bank Account (ACH):
Click Join/Renew button below to connect you to the LWV membership system. You will enter your email and you will be sent a code to log into the LWV membership system. Follow the screen prompts to join or renew. Payment options are Credit Card/Debit Card or US Bank Account (ACH).

If paying by Paper Check only:
If you do not have access to a Credit Card/Debit Card or US Bank Account (ACH) and need to pay by paper check, you must DOWNLOAD, PRINT, and MAIL THIS JOIN/RENEW FORM along with your check. Checks must be made out to LWVUS. Once received, your information will be manually entered into the LWV membership system and your check mailed to LWVUS.
Because your dues payment is technically three payments; one to your local League, one to the state League, and one to the national League; it will show up on your credit card/or bank statement as three separate payment transactions. Those three payment transactions will total the amount you authorized for your annual membership dues.
